History was made today as Dubai's first commercial autonomous vehicle service launched on Sheikh Zayed Road, marking the beginning of a new era in urban mobility that will transform how the city moves.

Fleet of 500 autonomous vehicles serving 25km dedicated corridor
The Future Arrives
After five years of testing, regulatory development, and infrastructure preparation, Dubai has launched the region's first fully autonomous passenger service. The sleek, electric vehicles—manufactured by Cruise in partnership with Dubai's RTA—glide silently along dedicated lanes at speeds up to 80 km/h.
"Today, we're not just launching a transport service. We're opening a new chapter in human mobility. These vehicles are safer than human drivers, more efficient, and accessible 24 hours a day."
— Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman, Roads and Transport Authority
