The AED 2 billion initiative includes free charging for the first 12 months, subsidized home charger installation, and partnerships with Tesla, BYD, Mercedes, and BMW.

Charging Station Types & Locations
DEWA is deploying three types of charging infrastructure across Dubai:
Standard AC Chargers (7kW)
5,000 units at shopping malls, residential areas, and parking lots. Full charge in 6-8 hours.
Fast DC Chargers (50kW)
3,500 units at fuel stations, highways, and commercial areas. 80% charge in 45 minutes.
Ultra-Fast Chargers (150kW+)
1,500 units at key locations. Tesla Supercharger compatible. 80% charge in 20 minutes.
Home Chargers
AED 10,000 subsidy for villa owners. AED 5,000 for apartment buildings with 5+ EVs.
Pricing Structure (After Free Period)
- Standard AC (7kW): AED 0.29/kWh — approximately AED 20 for full charge
- Fast DC (50kW): AED 0.48/kWh — approximately AED 35 for 80% charge
- Ultra-Fast (150kW+): AED 0.55/kWh — approximately AED 40 for 80% charge
- Home Charging: Standard DEWA residential tariff (AED 0.23-0.38/kWh)
